About Us

Our Story

Atelier of Minds began with four parents and one shared truth: every child has their own way of growing, and too few places are built around that.

We have lived the search. For environments that could truly see our children — some neurotypical, some neurodivergent, all uniquely wired. We experienced systems in Indonesia and Singapore that offered structure or care, but rarely both. We kept looking for a place that felt less like an institution and more like it understood.

So we created the place we wished existed.

Like an atelier, we believe children flourish with guidance, time, and trust — not pressure. We blend what works globally with what we know about raising children here, in this city, in this culture.

For parents, Atelier of Minds is a place where you stop explaining your child and start watching them grow.

We are not here to change who children are. We are here to build the environment where who they are is exactly enough.

Our Domain Framework

1

Social-Emotional Learning

Children learn to:

  • Understand emotions

  • Build resilience

  • Develop self-regulation skills

  • Solve problems

  • Manage frustration

  • Build empathy

Because emotional regulation is the foundation for learning and relationships.

2

Social Communication and Friendship Skills

Children learn how to:

  • Start conversations

  • Join group activities

  • Build friendships

  • Navigate social situations

  • Understand social cues

  • Communicate confidently

These skills are explicitly taught and practised in meaningful real-world situations.

3

Sensory Processing and Regulation

Many children struggle because their nervous system is overwhelmed, not because they are unwilling.

Children learn:

  • Sensory awareness

  • Regulation strategies

  • Body awareness

  • Movement-based regulation

  • Environmental adaptation

Our sensory-aware environment helps children feel safe, calm, and ready to learn.

4

Executive Function and Learning Skills

Executive functioning is often the hidden challenge behind homework battles, forgetfulness, procrastination, and emotional overwhelm.

Children develop:

  • Planning

  • Organisation

  • Working memory

  • Task initiation

  • Cognitive flexibility

  • Literacy skills

  • Numeracy skills

These are the skills that support long-term independence and academic success

5

Adaptive Life Skills

Children learn practical everyday skills such as:

  • Self-care

  • Personal organisation

  • Community participation

  • Eating independence

  • Digital safety

  • Responsibility

Because success in life is about more than grades.
